AT1 Jeremy Sturgeon

An exemplary instructor and mentor, AT1 Jeremy Sturgeon's students have achieved class average scores well above the course average with an extremely low attrition rate. As the Assistant to the Command Master Chief, he helps sailors and their families through difficult family problems and coordinates unit-wide activities and training.

His active participation in community affairs, planning numerous morale activities, was recognized by the Navy League Pensacola Council. He's counseled dozens of sailors and Marines about debt management and budgeting as a volunteer financial specialist.

HM1 Bartholomew Rodriquez

Optical Satellite Service Naval Station Mayport

HM1 Bart Rodriquez is a dedicated American Red Cross volunteer. While serving as Director of Optical Satellite Services handling eyecare needs for sailors and their families, he is an HIV/AIDS Instructor/Trainer and Program Coordinator, coordinating the Red Cross' Sexual Health and Responsibility Program (SHARP) across the 3 naval bases in the eastern Florida region, teaching community classes, and certifying other instructors.

He also volunteers for Special Olympics, the Jacksonville Humane Society, the Salvation Army, and the Arthritis Foundation, plus supports Naval Station Mayport's physical fitness program by organizing runs and sports challenges.
